Monaco GP is unique, there is always something lurking around the corners. The more the safety car take its tour of the track, the higher the probability of unexpected drama to occur. The story of the day should be about Webber’s uprising performance, his performance left a dent on my ego as his confirmation of dominance is evident in his drive to victory. I was forced to eat the humble pie which I admit is not pretty good. However at the final lap of the Monaco Grand Prix, the famous Rascasse yet again stole the limelight and this time it was the same man who get penalized for pushing the boundaries a step further in 2006 prior to his retirement.

It’s tight, it’s bumpy and it’s a major challenge for the drivers and the teams, but the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the world’s greatest sporting events. The challenge really begins as soon as the Spanish Grand Prix finishes as teams have to pack up everything there and then get it all over to Monaco in time to try and finish setting up by Tuesday night. Teams will need to acquire the services of some very experienced truckies and mechanics in the team who know their way around the confines of the Monaco paddock, and that definitely will help in making sure all engineering deadlines are met, and have the cars ready to go out on track on Thursday morning.

Overtaking in Spain is up there together with trying to cross a busy road with your eyes closed and not getting hammered.

Apparently, some people thought the Grand Prix was boring but then we knew that about Barcelona anyway. Barcelona never has been a race about overtaking, it’s a race to see who has established the best package of the season. There’s a well known sayings in the paddock, if you win Barcelona, you have the best package.

While waiting for our pieces on Spanish GP, Rotax Max Challenge and 1000km of Spa Francorchamps, I figure you may need something to fulfill your thirst for more motorsports knowledge. Well, here is a video describing the works of Toyota F1 Team. Of course we know by now, Toyota had already pulled the plug from F1. It gave me the nostalgic feeling watching this video.

Whatever reservations were held about Michael Schumacher’s chances of easily shoring up against Rosberg at Barcelona have been put to rest as he put in fantastic performance all weekend and finish fourth after showing of a glimpse of his past by overtaking Button and defended the position until the end of the race with sublime composure. Stay tuned for my two cents on the Spanish GP.
