Super GT – Testing Resumes at Okayama

Pre-season testing ahead of the 2011 season resumes as usual on March 8th-9th at the Okayama International Circuit. 15 GT500 cars and 5 GT300 cars participated, continuing with their testing programmes of tyre development and evaluating new aero parts.

The S Road MOLA GT-R, driven by Ronnie Quintarelli informally registered the fastest time.

Honda tried several new aerodynamic parts of various types for the HSV-010 and some teams can be seen running with a new livery, probably designated for the 2011 season.

The final Super GT official test is scheduled for the 19th-20th of March at the Okayama International Circuit. However, as of now nothing is confirmed yet as the world was still in shock over the devastating news that Japan was hit by a magnitude 8.9 scale earthquake and tsunami. All activities are pending for the meantime and our thoughts are with all the victims that suffered because of the disastrous event.
