As I sat down with a cup of coffee browsing through my pictures and replying business emails. I stumbled across these pictures. And then I was reminded by the manner of how Team Malaysia lost the lead in the championship. I thought I must share this story.

Team Ireland for the first time overtook Malaysia in the leader-board after Round 3 of Sepang by winning the feature race.

Team Malaysia suffered a communication break down, as Fairuz Fauzy “unexpectedly” dived into pits. Fairuz heard a pit command that was meant for another team. Strangest things do happen sometimes. He missed a podium because of that and as a result lost the lead in the championship too.

A1 Team Ireland became the fourth A1 Grand Prix champions, after a title battle which went down to the final round in Great Britain. Ireland won with 112 points, all scored by Carroll and included five race victories and three fastest laps.

Adam Caroll started in Formula Renault Campus when he was 16. After that he raced in Formula Ford. Spent few seasons in Formula Three, firstly in the Scholarship class in older machinery, and then in the full Championship class. Subsequently raced in GP2 and won five races. Tested with a Honda F1 team. And after all that he joined A1GP.

Since A1GP sadly gone bankrupt, Adam Caroll is now linked with Campos Meta F1 drive this season. However he has yet to receive any offer.
